• A salary in accordance with the CAO Metalektro between € 4,500 and € 6,500 gross per month based on full-time, naturally depending on your experience;
• A full-time position of 32 - 40 hours per week;
• 40 days off per year with full-time employment (27 vacation days plus 13 ATV);

Within Engineering, the Theoretical Naval Architecture discipline is responsible for monitoring the naval architectural design of all yachts built by the shipyard. Every yacht is unique - with its own characteristics and technical challenges.

As Senior Specialist Naval Architecture, you will assess naval architectural designs for quality and technical feasibility, and coordinate the approval process with classification societies and flag states. Drawing from your expertise, you will advise the project team and make an active contribution to new developments. You will report to the Principal Engineer Naval Architecture.

• Assessing the theoretical naval architectural design of the (external) Naval Architect;
• Identifying and solving technical challenges in the design, in collaboration with internal and external parties;
• Informing and advising the project team on design risks;
• Coordinating regulations and the approval process per project;
• Acting as the point of contact at the shipyard for design and regulatory issues;
• Assessing the content and quality of approval documents, and monitoring that approval comments are processed;
• Coordinating activities regarding insulation and noise requirements;
• Drafting safety plans.
