The role

Ambition
Leading interesting underground infrastructure projects around and next to the railway and in newly built and renovated train stations. That is your goal as an underground infrastructure supervisor at Dura Vermeer Railinfra. With beautiful projects throughout the Netherlands, you will lead a team of technicians and help build a stable, safe, and future-proof railway network and train stations.

What you'll do

This is what you will do
As a cables & pipelines supervisor, you are responsible for managing and guiding projects in the underground infrastructure. This usually includes telecommunications, data, electricity lines, and fiber optics. You manage employees and subcontractors with a focus on quality, safety, finance, and time. This means you are responsible for planning and extra or reduced work. Additionally, you maintain contacts with various involved parties, such as the internal organization, the client (ProRail or municipal public transport companies such as GVB, RET, or HTM) and grid operators. Depending on the size and type of the projects, you will manage one or more projects simultaneously.

Requirements

No specific prior education is required within underground infra/ cables & pipelines. Education such as Civil Engineering (road and water construction, infra technology), Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is seen as a good basis in the underground infra sector. From there, you can receive further training at Railcenter to expand your craftsmanship. To be successful as a cables and pipelines supervisor, it is also desirable to have several years of experience in the preparation and execution of underground infra projects.
