Civil Works Foreman

• A completed MBO or HBO education in the field of civil engineering or similar;

• At least 2 years of work experience as a civil works foreman;

• you have demonstrable experience in taking daily leadership over the execution of one or more projects, ensuring that activities are realized safely, qualitatively, and according to schedule and budget

• You are strong in planning and organizing, but you also switch gears quickly when unforeseen situations arise;

• Your communication is clear and concise.

• The salary for this position is between € 3,577.89 and € 6,256.72 gross per month (based on 40 hours)*, excluding 8% holiday allowance. The exact salary depends on your knowledge, level, and work experience;

• On top of the salary comes a fixed amount for the Sustainable Employability Budget for things that contribute to staying healthy and motivated (2.3% according to CAO Bouw & Infra);

• With a view to a long-term relationship, we offer you an indefinite contract immediately; 

• 43 leave days according to the CAO Bouw & Infra. Of these days, 13 are paid out into your individual budget; you can choose to buy these days back;

As a civil works foreman at Dura Vermeer Haven & Industrie, you will lead the execution of leading civil projects within industrial environments. Whether it concerns formwork, reinforcement, or concrete pouring for tank terminals, substations, or logistics hubs - you ensure everything runs smoothly, from preparation to delivery.

This will be your job
From the very first preparations, you are closely involved in the project. You draw up realistic schedules, ensure a well-thought-out safety and health plan, and create clear work instructions that your team can get to work with. You manage colleagues on the construction site daily and ensure that subcontractors and suppliers know exactly what is expected. As soon as the realization phase starts, your craftsmanship fully comes into its own. You monitor progress, quality, planning, and costs, and know how to successfully bring the project to a good conclusion together with your team. In doing so, you have regular contact with the project manager and client, so that everything runs smoothly and no one is caught by surprises.

Safety is always your number one priority. You ensure that everyone on the project can work safely and goes home healthy at the end of the day. You do this not because you have to, but because you consider it a matter of course.
