The role

Work four days, school one day - and truly learn something in practice

At Dura Vermeer, as a BBL apprentice, you won't get a side role. On the GGA project, you will work four days a week as a full team member, alongside experienced site managers, on an active construction site. What you learn at school on Monday, you simply apply on Tuesday.

Are you an MBO BBL-4 student in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Installation Technology and looking for a training company? Then we are looking for you.

This will be your job

You will work four days a week directly with the head installation technology site manager, who will guide you and involve you in all facets of the profession. You will not only see how things are executed, but also why certain choices are made. This way, you build a solid practical foundation step by step - and you will receive increasing responsibility as you grow. Specifically, you will take on:

  • Performing quality controls - you check on the construction site whether electrical and installation work matches the drawings and record any deviations.

  • Drafting work plans - together with the team, you determine the work sequence for specific components, taking into account other disciplines, safety, and material planning.

  • Maintaining as-built documentation - you accurately register which changes are implemented in practice, so that the final documentation matches the actual situation.

  • Participating in daily execution - from coordination with subcontractors to progress monitoring: you see the whole picture.

More at Dura Vermeer

Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, look out for one another, and build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the basis for this.

With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we are among the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, it is not about those figures for us. It is about people. About colleagues working together on projects you can be proud of—iconic and close to home—and contributing to solutions for societal issues.

Our ambitions are great. And we only achieve them with engaged people. That is why we invest in good employerhood and a working environment in which you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe, and speak up. So that you get the best out of yourself and achieve more together with us.

This is where you belong

Your workplace is at the project location in Almelo, where a new courthouse is currently being built. A challenging project with complex technical installations, not a standard job.

You will join a team that is driven and always looking for better and smarter ways of working. A team that does not stand still and always thinks one step ahead. At the same time, the atmosphere is informal and accessible; you can always ask questions, sharing knowledge is the norm, and you will truly be helped if you get stuck.

For a BBL apprentice, that is exactly the environment in which you grow quickly.

What you bring

  • You are following a BBL level 3 or 4 education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Installation Technology and are looking for a recognized training company;

  • You are not afraid to ask questions, but also take initiative;

  • You work accurately — every detail counts with drawings and as-built documentation;

  • You feel at home on a construction site and want to learn from people with years of experience.

What do we offer you?

  • A full-fledged BBL apprenticeship where you gain practical experience daily;

  • Direct guidance from an experienced head site manager;

  • Insight into a professional and complex construction project from A to Z;

  • Salary that grows with your experience
