The role

Do you want to get started with our largest and most challenging structural projects? Are you able to tackle complex issues and bring them to a successful conclusion? Will you work together with us on our challenges and ambitions?

This will be your job

As a lead engineer, you will work on our most challenging structural projects. You are the technical conscience of the group of structural engineers. Based on your expertise, you will be involved in the largest projects and tenders within Dura Vermeer Landelijke Projecten, but as a specialist, you may also be called upon for complex issues within our regional projects. Naturally, you are able to carry out your activities independently; additionally, you enjoy leading and training a team of structural engineers. You know better than anyone that your field is changing rapidly. Ideally, you are also active in cross-company working groups and have an affinity for automation within the field.

More at Dura Vermeer

Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, look out for one another, and build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the basis for this.

With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we are among the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, it is not about those figures for us. It is about people. About colleagues working together on projects you can be proud of—iconic and close to home—and contributing to solutions for societal issues.

Our ambitions are big. And we can only achieve them with committed people. That's why we invest in good employer practices and a working environment where you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe and speak your mind. So that you get the best out of yourself and, together with us, make more.

This is where you belong

As Lead engineer, you will work on various infra projects of Dura Vermeer throughout the Netherlands. You will do this together with driven colleagues from different disciplines. You will become part of the Civil Design department, within the Design cluster. The cluster currently consists of approximately 150 colleagues, through which we fulfill our ambition as a designing builder. You will get the chance to work on impressive projects such as the APMT container terminal in the Port of Rotterdam, the dike reinforcements in Arcen and Tiel-Waardenburg, the construction of the Nieuwe Meer junction on the A10 ring road around Amsterdam, or projects that contribute to the energy transition.
