The role

From the Courthouse in Almelo to the Slingeland Hospital: at Dura Vermeer Techniek, we work on complex installation projects where safety and quality matter every single day. Will you help us do that safely and well?

At Dura Vermeer Techniek, approximately 70 colleagues work on projects where many installations, many parties, and little space converge. As a QHSE Advisor, you are close to that work. You are on the projects, talking to technicians and supervisors, and ensuring that working safely and correctly succeeds in practice. You work together with the QHSE Manager and support the project teams in daily QHSE execution.

What you'll do

Your responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out safety inspections and workplace assessments at project locations;

  • Supporting project teams with health & safety plans, risk assessments (RI&E), and work instructions;

  • Providing toolbox meetings and instructions for technicians and supervisors;

  • Registering and following up on safety reports and incidents, and thinking along about improvement measures;

  • Supporting internal and external audits;

  • Maintaining QHSE documentation and reports, such as the figures for the management system;

  • Thinking along about practical improvements on the shop floor.

    More at Dura Vermeer

    Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can feel that. In how we work together, how we look out for one another, and how we build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the foundation of this.

    With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we belong to the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, for us, it is not about those figures. It is about people. About colleagues working together on projects you can be proud of—iconic and close to home—and contributing to solutions for societal issues.

    Our ambitions are great. And we only achieve them with engaged people. That is why we invest in good employerhood and a working environment in which you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe, and speak up. So that you get the best out of yourself and make more together with us.

    This is where you belong

    You will work from our new office in Utrecht, at project locations, and partly from home. Dura Vermeer Techniek carries out installation technology projects for the construction and infra sectors. You will join a team of experienced technicians with a great interest in new technology and innovative solutions, who are also involved as early as the planning stage of projects.

This is what you bring

Safety is naturally a high priority for you. You enjoy being on the shop floor, communicate easily with technicians and supervisors, and address people when something is unsafe, without coming across as harsh. You work accurately and take initiative. In addition, we ask for:

  • A completed MBO or HBO education, preferably in safety studies or a technical field;

  • A VCA certificate, and preferably a recognized safety training (such as Basic Safety or Safety Studies level 4);

  • At least 2 years of experience in a QHSE, safety, or supervisory role in construction or installation technology;

  • Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 and the Safety Ladder;

  • A hands-on mentality: you walk the projects yourself and set the bar high for the quality of your work.

This is what we offer you

  • A good salary between €4,291 and €5,364 gross per month, depending on your education and experience. We pay out per 4-week period (13 periods per year) instead of per calendar month. The amount is based on a 40-hour work week and excludes 8% holiday allowance;

  • 38 leave days in accordance with the CAO Metaal en Techniek;

  • Excellent secondary employment conditions, such as insurance for all employee risks, pension schemes, an extra supplement in case of disability, and a contribution towards union membership;

  • A laptop and smartphone;

  • A (electric) lease car, mobility budget, NS Business Card, or travel expense allowance;

  • Plenty of attention to your growth thanks to our own Dura Vermeer Academy, with courses and training within your field and in the area of vitality;

  • A corporate fitness scheme with a choice of over 3,500 sports locations throughout the Netherlands;

  • A good work-life balance thanks to flexible working and smooth arrangements for working hours, working times, emergencies, caregiving, or sabbatical;

  • For new fathers and partners: 100% continued payment of your salary during the first 5 statutory leave days and the 5 weeks of additional parental leave, instead of the standard 70%.
