Nexton (approximately 280 employees) has been part of Dura Vermeer Division Techniek since November 2022 and consists of a group of independent companies focusing on advice, design, product development, execution, and maintenance of (building-related) installations. As an integrated technical service provider, Nexton adds value in the fields of smart buildings, energy transition, circularity, sustainability, and as-a-service concepts. Nexton Zaandam provides the foundation for a smart building. Due to current construction methods and insulation possibilities, less energy is needed to heat an object. But at the same time, more is needed to realize the required air ventilation. Nexton offers energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions. To optimally maintain the lifespan and effectiveness of these applications, regular maintenance is of great importance.

We offer maintenance in various contract forms:

• preventive maintenance

• preventive and corrective maintenance

• performance maintenance

Nexton is active in the design, realization, and maintenance of complete, smart (mechanical) installations in building-related installation technology.

As a Mechanical Technician at Nexton, you work on various types of projects. No project is the same! One moment you are working on a large redevelopment project of a large corporate building where you and your team deliver installations, the next you are working on the redevelopment of a housing complex in the Randstad.

On-site, you work in a team of Technicians, managed by a Lead Technician, independently on mechanical installations. Together, you coordinate the daily activities with one another.

Your mission is successful if your team has been able to work together in a pleasant, safe, and efficient manner, the customer is satisfied, and the project has been completed as desired.

For the position of Mechanical Technician, we find it important that you communicate easily with your team of technicians, the on-site executors, and the various project leaders. After all, we find it important that you are in contact with each other.

We also like to see you taking initiative in your role. If you see a part of your work that you would like to improve, then you tackle it, because you are not afraid to make mistakes. We do not mind if mistakes are made.

Furthermore, it helps you if:

• You have completed an MBO education within mechanical engineering;

• You are eager to learn. What you don't know, we are happy to teach you;

• You have a number of years of experience as a Mechanical Technician;

• You have a Category B driver's license, supplemented by a willingness to conduct nationwide customer visits;

• You are customer-oriented and can collaborate well;

• You have a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.

In this position, you will get the space to develop yourself. You will receive guidance when necessary, but you will also have a lot of freedom if you want it. Moreover, there is plenty of room within the organization to follow (management) training and/or courses. In collaboration with your supervisor, you will create your own development plan.
