Then we have a great position for you.
As an Electrical Engineering Service Technician at Nexton Building Services, you will be part of our permanent technician team and work together on various types of projects. No two projects are the same! One moment you are working on the sustainability of a clubhouse, the next you are working on the redevelopment of an imposing commercial building in the Randstad.
You will receive your assignments from the Service Coordinator. Together with a team of Service Technicians, you will then ensure that the customer (large or small) can always rely on excellently functioning systems.
Once you have arrived at the customer's location, you will install, troubleshoot technical installations, or perform a preventive service. You do this by reading out the system, analyzing it, and resolving issues in an adequate manner. During your job, you will keep the customer informed of your plan, ensuring the customer knows exactly what to expect.
You will join a close-knit service team (20 colleagues in HVAC and Electrical Engineering) in which craftsmanship, collaboration, and customer focus are central. Within Nexton Building Service, you will receive a great deal of autonomy and responsibility. At the same time, you can count on the knowledge and support of experienced colleagues. Short lines, attention, collaboration—that is what we stand for!
You will work for various customers within, among others, offices, schools, healthcare institutions, housing associations, and other utility buildings. In addition, you will get plenty of room to further develop yourself both technically and personally.
As an Electrical Engineering Service Technician, you are the specialist who ensures that building installations continue to function optimally. You combine technology, customer contact, and problem-solving skills in a role with a lot of freedom and responsibility.
You ensure that our customers can rely on safe, sustainable, and optimally performing installations.
Your responsibilities as an Electrical Engineering Service Technician
As an Electrical Engineering Service Technician, you are responsible for independently performing service and maintenance work on various electrotechnical installations. In this role, you analyze and resolve complex malfunctions and ensure the commissioning, testing, and optimization of installations to guarantee reliable and efficient operation. Additionally, you advise customers on technical improvements and sustainability possibilities, while actively identifying additional work and commercial opportunities. Preparing service reports and maintenance logs is also among your tasks. Furthermore, you guide and support technicians and colleagues where necessary and participate in fault-finding and on-call services to guarantee the continuity of service.
We offer a varied and challenging position in which you receive a lot of freedom and responsibility to perform your duties independently. In return, we offer an excellent salary that aligns with your knowledge and experience. You will have a company car, phone, and tablet, so you are optimally equipped to perform your work. Additionally, we invest in your development through various training and career advancement opportunities. You can count on good secondary employment conditions in accordance with the Technical Installation Company collective labor agreement (CAO). You will join an informal working environment with dedicated colleagues, where collaboration and personal attention are central. Moreover, you will work on challenging and sustainable technical installations and get the chance to grow within the Nexton organization.
For this position, you have a completed MBO level 3 or 4 education in the direction of Electrical Engineering, Installation Technology, or a comparable technical education. Additionally, you have experience performing service and maintenance work on electrotechnical installations within the utility sector.
