The role

Are you a construction planner (freelance permitted) who gets energy from complex construction projects in a dynamic environment? For The July Amsterdam Zuidas, we are looking for a construction planner who wants to contribute to the realization of a high-quality hotel concept in one of the most prestigious locations in the Netherlands. In this phase of the project, you will ensure that planning, procurement, engineering, and execution align optimally, and you will contribute to the successful delivery of a special destination in the heart of the Zuidas.

This will be your job

Are you a construction planner who loves working on challenging projects in the middle of the city? Then this is your chance. For The July Amsterdam Zuidas, we are looking for a construction planner who makes a difference within a complex and dynamic construction environment.

The July is being realized at a location where building requires tight preparation and smart logistical choices. Working at the Zuidas means taking into account limited construction space, intensive traffic flows, surrounding buildings, and various stakeholders. It is precisely that dynamism that makes this project unique.

As a construction planner, you play a key role in this. You ensure that material flows, schedules, and activities align perfectly. You coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and the execution team, and ensure that everyone has the right information at the right time. In addition, you continuously keep an eye on the logistical challenges that come with building at one of the busiest development locations in the Netherlands.

You work closely with fellow construction planners, the project manager, and site managers, and you are responsible for the technical and organizational preparation of the activities. You identify bottlenecks before they arise, process changes, and monitor progress towards important project milestones. Thanks to your preparation, execution proceeds efficiently, safely, and according to plan.

In short, a versatile role within a project that offers everything that makes the profession of construction planner interesting: technical challenges, complex logistics, much collaboration, and a unique location at the Amsterdam Zuidas. A wonderful opportunity for a construction planner who wants to contribute visibly to the realization of an appealing project that will soon occupy a prominent place in the cityscape of Amsterdam.

More at Dura Vermeer

Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, look out for one another, and build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the basis for this.

With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we belong to the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, it is not about those figures for us. It is about people. About colleagues who work together on projects you can be proud of—iconic yet close by—and who contribute to solutions for societal issues.

Our ambitions are great. And we only achieve them with committed people. That is why we invest in good employer leadership and a working environment in which you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe, and speak up. So that you get the best out of yourself and achieve more together with us.

Here you are in the right place

At Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Utrecht, we are at the beginning of a new chapter. Where for years we were known as a strong renovation/transformation specialist, since the beginning of this year we have grown into a full-fledged Construction and Real Estate organization. In addition to renovation and transformation, we now also realize new construction projects in residential and non-residential construction, and we are taking the next step towards our own area and real estate development.

That means you will find yourself in an organization that is in full motion. With over 100 colleagues within our operating company, we are not only building sustainable homes, utility projects, and living environments, but also the future of our own organization. The lines are short, the ambitions are great, and the opportunities to help build new ways of working, teams, and projects are plentiful.

Here you get the space to make an impact. Not from the sidelines, but right in the middle of a fresh organization that is further developing itself and in which entrepreneurship, collaboration, and ownership are central. Together we build projects we are proud of and an organization that is ready for the future.

This is what you bring
