Director Residential Construction Preparation and Production

• A completed HBO or WO degree in the direction of civil engineering or construction technical management. 

• Extensive experience in the preparation and realization of residential construction and renovation projects.

• Strong financial insight. 

• Experience with the management of business units from a management team role. 

• Knows how to translate a vision into practically and operationally executable plans. 

• Naturally familiar with various contract forms (Design & Construct, Design & Build, UAV-GC, etc.).

This will be your job
As Director of Residential Construction (preparation & production), you are co-responsible for the total business operations and the future-proofing of Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Utrecht for the Utrecht region. You report to the Chairman of the Board and are responsible for both preparation (including design & engineering) and the production of residential construction projects (land-based and stacked) within Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Utrecht. You represent Dura Vermeer Bouw Vastgoed Utrecht in contact with external customers and are thus one of the visible faces of our organization.

Your primary goal is to realize profitable qualitative growth with a view to the desired continuity of the company. You continue the established path of professionalism and growth, within an integrally organized developing builder, and continue to build on a well-organized acquisition and production process aimed at residential construction projects.

You are part of an ambitious management team and together you translate the strategy of the operating company into clear objectives. You know how to project the course clearly and consistently throughout the organization. Collaboration is stimulated, and therefore you profile yourself as a substantive sparring partner for both the MT and colleagues. You make an impact on the innovation-industrialization strategy and know how to translate this into delivering projects.

You coach the business, project leaders, and project managers of residential construction projects; with an eye for quality, you ensure continuous improvement and innovation within the teams. Also in relationships with (external) partners, building long-term relationships is an important starting point. The realization of business goals is paramount, whereby you stimulate and further (re)develop the team of people with whom you work closely. With your experience, you further develop the self-steering teams in leadership, ownership, and entrepreneurship.

Based on your experience in the preparation and production of residential construction projects, you know how to assess risks well, provide direction to them, and sense people and situations. You are well aware of whether projects are proceeding according to plan so that risks can be monitored effectively. The organization is growing, there is a solid foundation, and there is great ambition. You help ensure that we take the next step both qualitatively and quantitatively.

The turnover of Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Utrecht is currently 105 million and 100 FTE employees work there. We have a strong growth ambition in which the addition of real estate and area development in the company is an important pillar. For this reason, in your role, you will also collaborate extensively with the director of real estate development.
