at least HBO (higher professional education) level of work and thinking, supplemented with management experience within warehousing or contract logistics;
experience in managing larger operational teams within a dynamic logistical environment;
knowledge of KPI management, Lean methodologies, process optimization, and WMS systems;
strong communication skills in both Dutch and English and the ability to get teams moving.

The role

Are you an experienced operations manager within logistics who is ready for the next step? For our location in 's-Heerenberg, we are looking for a strong people manager and operational leader who will further grow, professionalize, and take a well-running site to a higher level.

The further development of a large-scale logistical operation within an international multi-client environment: you will contribute to this. At this multicultural site with many customers within retail, you will get the opportunity to build further on quality, structure, and operational excellence together with a strong foundation.

How do you do this? As operations manager, together with your supervisors and team leaders, you manage a warehouse operation of 45,000 m2 with 250 to 350 employees. You are part of the local management team and report directly to the site manager. In doing so, you combine strategic insight with visibility on the floor. You will achieve this by:

What you'll do

managing, coaching, and further developing supervisors and operational teams;
monitoring KPIs, productivity, quality, safety, and customer agreements within a complex retail environment;
initiating and guiding improvement projects aimed at the further professionalization of processes, teams, and collaboration;
liaising with customers, internal stakeholders, and management to realize sustainable growth and high customer satisfaction.
