Within this department, every day is dedicated to smooth-running goods flows, customer agreements, and smart solutions: you will contribute to this.

How do you do this? Our European Control Tower is divided into different specializations. Depending on your knowledge, experience, and interests, you will receive an important role within one of these areas: technology, fashion, or chemicals. Together with your team, you will ensure that new customers are implemented smoothly and existing customer relationships are further developed.

To prepare you well, you will start by gaining experience within our freight forwarding departments. Here, you will get to know the operational processes up close. Thanks to this experience, you will understand how our processes work and be able to effectively support our customers from day one.

You are always ready to offer the ultimate customer experience. You have daily contact with international customers and are their fixed point of contact. You ensure that shipments arrive on time and without problems. You form the link between customers and colleagues and tackle delays or problems immediately by searching for the best solution together with your team and the customer.

You monitor lead times, track shipments accurately, and ensure that everyone within the process always has the correct information at their disposal. You achieve this by:

• preparing reports and processing the associated logistics administration in our system, so that all data is complete and up to date;
• handling customer complaints and claims and finding and following up on solutions quickly and effectively;
• identifying deviations in processes, analyzing the underlying cause, and solving problems immediately;
• actively working on developing customer relationships and seizing opportunities to identify and realize commercial possibilities;
• maintaining close contact with internal departments, including colleagues from planning, sales, and cross-dock, so that everyone is well-coordinated and processes run efficiently.

• passion for transport and logistics, which you know how to convey effortlessly to customers and colleagues;
• experience within logistics or transport, for example as a customer service employee or transport planner, where you have a practical and decisive approach to solving customer issues;
• service-oriented attitude; you think in solutions, enjoy working together, and only stop when everything is perfectly arranged;
• strong social skills, a healthy dose of humor, and the confidence to pick up the phone and take immediate action;
• excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, so that you can communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues all over the world.
