What we're looking for
You are a driven tax specialist who enjoys working in an international environment and taking responsibility. Additionally, you possess:
- A completed Dutch Master's in Tax Law or Tax Economics.
- A completed NOB education.
- Approximately 3 to 7 years of relevant work experience within international tax advisory practice; experience with US Tax-related issues is a plus.
- Do you not have all the knowledge yet, but do you see a match? Then we also invite you to respond. We will determine your seniority level based on your experience.
- An excellent command of both the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
The role
Do you want to work on complex international tax issues for leading (inter)national clients? Within our Tax team in Amsterdam, we are looking for an ambitious Associate International Tax. From day one, you will receive responsibility and the opportunity to further develop both technically and commercially at one of the largest international law firms in the world.
You will advise a diverse international client portfolio, ranging from listed multinationals and private companies to investment funds and governments. In doing so, you will work on challenging tax issues in the fields of, among others, corporate income tax, dividend tax, transfer pricing, conditional withholding tax, payroll tax, and tax treaties.
As an Associate, you will maintain direct contact with clients, work intensively with colleagues both within and outside the Netherlands, and make an active contribution to the further growth of our international tax practice. Additionally, DLA Piper offers plenty of opportunities to further develop yourself, for example through international collaborations, client secondments, or a secondment to one of our foreign offices.
You will join a close-knit and ambitious team where collaboration, quality, and personal development are central. We believe it is important that everyone can be themselves and we like to invest in long-term relationships - with our clients and with each other.
What you'll do
- Advising internationally operating clients on issues in the fields of corporate income tax, dividend tax, transfer pricing, conditional withholding tax, payroll tax, and tax treaties.
- Working closely with colleagues within, among others, Corporate, Employment, Finance, and Litigation.
- Coordinating international files and coordinating with colleagues and specialists within the global DLA Piper network.
- Direct client responsibility and room for business development.
- Actively contributing to the further growth and development of the Tax practice and, for ambitious candidates, the perspective to grow within our international tax practice.
