Are you a third-year bachelor or master's student of law, EU law, or administrative law and do you want to gain practical experience? Then an internship at De Brauw in Amsterdam is what you are looking for. During a student internship, you will participate full-time or part-time for two months in our Constitutional and Administrative Law practice.
An internship is a good way to get to know our firm and the public law practice better. As an intern, you participate directly: you perform legal research, draft memos, and, for example, join jurisprudence lunches.
You will sit in the office with our lawyers, so you can always go to them with questions and learn a lot in daily practice. With personal guidance, direct feedback, and regular contact with senior colleagues and partners, you will learn the profession quickly and thoroughly.
Our public law practice is engaged in litigating for and advising government enterprises and major corporate clients on issues in the field of environmental law, energy and energy transition, state aid and access to information, both nationally and internationally. For example, we advise on the Aramis project and the national hydrogen network, and we are involved in matters concerning nitrogen emissions at airports such as Schiphol. Furthermore, as legal counsel to the House of Representatives, we handle a broad spectrum of legal issues, ranging from constitutional law to tax law. We also have a pro bono practice, within which we advise on, among other things, human rights and EU law.
Step 1: You send a cover letter, CV, transcript, and optionally your thesis and/or internship evaluation.
Step 2: You will come by for an interview with a recruiter and a lawyer from the practice. Prior to this, you will complete a personality questionnaire online.
Step 3: You will receive an offer in the event of a positive outcome.
