ICT Lead Project Manager

As ICT Lead Project Manager, you are responsible for both leading the ICT Project Management team and independently managing strategic key projects within Business Solutions. You maintain daily contact with stakeholders in the business, within the ICT department, and with external suppliers, and ensure a smooth handover of projects to the ICT Operations team. You report directly to the CDIO and are part of the leadership group within our ICT department. You have three direct reports and are responsible for the performance and results of the Project Managers under your leadership, including flexibly hired professionals.

What will you do?

• Acting as a sparring partner and advisor to the CDIO in the development and execution of our ICT strategy, our policies, and our processes.
• Leading strategic key projects within Business Solutions and delivering results derived from the broader ICT strategy.
• Building and maintaining a high-performing ICT Project Management team, focused on added value and continuous improvement.
• Ensuring uniformity, quality standards, and a standardized project delivery process within the department.
• Guiding project teams in the progress of project delivery and the realization of intended strategic goals, in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
• Advising the CDIO on the total portfolio of projects with technological components and ensuring that projects comply with policies regarding Risk & Compliance, the IT architecture landscape, and the ICT strategy.
• Contributing to process optimization, collaboration, and cost reduction within the ICT department.
• Supporting collaboration between the Business Solution Departments.

You are an experienced and results-oriented project management professional with natural leadership. You combine substantive ICT knowledge with the ability to motivate teams, improve processes, and realize strategic goals. You work in a structured, proactive, and independent manner, and possess excellent stakeholder management skills.

Furthermore, you possess:

• More than 9 years of relevant work experience in managing large and complex ICT projects.
• A completed HBO or WO degree in the direction of Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience with Program or Portfolio Management is a strong plus.
• Demonstrable leadership experience, both through informal leadership and with direct reports.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills and a good eye for the human side of collaboration.
• Excellent diplomatic skills, organizational sensitivity, and strong networking skills.
• Relevant certifications such as IPMA (C+), MSP, PMP/PMI, Prince2, or AgilePM.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
