The role
Connecting environment, stakeholders, and permits for successful infra and hydraulic engineering projects? Go for it!
Work as a senior environmental manager on leading projects throughout the Netherlands. From dike reinforcements such as Meanderende Maas to the widening of the A2 between Het Vonderen and Kerensheide: your work makes the difference before execution starts and during realization. You create support, connect interests, and ensure that projects can proceed smoothly. Go for it!
What you'll do
At Boskalis Nederland, as a senior environmental manager, you are the connecting link between the project and the environment. Thanks to your commitment, projects can start without unnecessary delays. For example, you ensure that necessary investigations are carried out, permits are in order, and stakeholders are involved in a timely manner.
Whether you are working on a dike reinforcement, a highway widening, or an area development: you understand which interests are at play and know how to bring them together with the project goals. In addition, you will receive a great deal of autonomy and responsibility within a multidisciplinary project team.
- You ensure that projects can start by organizing conditioning activities, such as archaeological research, permitting processes, and the relocation of cables and pipelines.
- You bring together the interests of clients, governments, local residents, and other stakeholders and translate them into feasible solutions for the project.
- Together with the project team, you actively think about measures to prevent or limit nuisance to the environment.
- You maintain contacts with diverse stakeholders and build trust and support throughout the entire project cycle.
- Within the project, you are responsible for communication, stakeholder management, conditioning, and environmental nuisance.
This makes your future colleague proud
"What I love about this profession is that no two days are the same. You interact with residents, clients, governments, and project teams, while simultaneously working on projects that have a visible impact on the Netherlands. It is precisely that combination of technology, collaboration, and social involvement that makes this work so interesting."
Bart, Head of Environmental Management Cluster
