Environmental Manager in the Netherlands

As Environmental Manager, you are the link between our project organization and the surroundings. You fulfill a central, mediating role between residents, municipalities, water boards, clients, and your colleagues in execution. You ensure that projects are carefully prepared with an eye for all environmental aspects.

In the preparation phase, you map out all interests, sensitivities, and points of attention. You signal bottlenecks early, so that they do not cause delays or problems during execution. You coordinate with municipalities, water boards, and clients to ensure that works, such as the replacement or installation of cables and pipes, can take place smoothly.

During execution, you remain closely involved. You advise and support the executing colleagues in the field of environmental management and ensure that agreements made are met. When situations arise, you are the one who initiates the conversation and ensures appropriate solutions.

In addition, you are responsible for communication with stakeholders. For example, you organize resident evenings, draft resident letters, and maintain contact with local residents, schools, landowners, and other involved parties. You ensure that everyone is informed clearly and in a timely manner and that signals from the environment are addressed.

In short: you ensure social support, clear communication, and good cooperation between all involved parties, so that projects maintain progress and are executed carefully.

• At least an HBO diploma or at least 2 years of work experience as an environmental manager. An assessment may be part of the application procedure;

• Strong communication and social skills;

• The ability to analyze interests and bring parties together;

• Organizational insight and a proactive working attitude;

• Knowledge of or affinity with the infrastructure sector is a plus;

• Driver's license B.
