Requirements

What we're looking for

  • A HBO or WO degree related to the field: technical, planning, or organization-oriented;

  • Preferably at least five years of relevant experience with environmental management in the physical domain — we find competencies and experience more important than education;

  • You enjoy connecting people and organizations with each other;

  • You are available 32 to 40 hours per week;

  • A preference for or connection to the Northern Netherlands is a plus.

The role

Without you, there are no permits, no support, no execution. You are the one who brings parties together, connects interests, and brings projects from paper to reality.

What you'll do

Within the Living Environment business line, you will work together with other environmental managers and technical specialists on diverse projects in the physical living environment. Think of nature development, energy transition, infrastructure, the Flood Protection Programme, and urban development. In all phases of a project, you provide an essential contribution: from exploration to execution. You are responsible for stakeholder management, participation, and communication, and you ensure that conditioning aspects such as permits, ecology, archaeology, cultural history, and BLVC are well-secured. You work for various clients such as contractors, Rijkswaterstaat, municipalities, and water boards. Your projects are preferably located in the Northern Netherlands, but we will coordinate your location and the projects you work on together to suit what fits you and where your ambition lies.

What you enjoy doing:

  • Working on projects that truly matter: from nature development and flood protection to energy transition and urban development;

  • Connecting stakeholders and ensuring smooth cooperation between parties with different interests;

  • Taking responsibility for conditioning aspects and permit processes;

  • Working independently on projects and joining forces with a close-knit team of specialists;

  • Deepening, broadening, and sharing knowledge with colleagues and clients.

Who do you work with?

You will work in a team of approximately 50 environmental managers and advisors, spread across our offices and project locations. The atmosphere is open and informal: a diverse team in age and background, with a fine mix of energy and experience. Additionally, you will work closely with clients and colleagues from other disciplines within Antea Group. There are regular knowledge sessions where you can spar about content, work on innovations, and celebrate successes. In addition, we organize pleasant social moments such as an annual summer barbecue. Hybrid working is a matter of course.
