• HBO level of work and thinking, a completed degree in Civil Engineering or similar;

• Preferably you have at least 5 years of work experience as an estimator and/or cost expert at a construction company, construction cost consultancy, or similar;

• You are resilient, stress-resistant, accurate, and easily adapt your way of thinking and actions. You take on the challenge!

• You are precise, strong with numbers, communicatively skilled, and show responsibility for your own work;

• At least 32 hours to work per week. Are you available full-time? That is also fine!

• Good proficiency with Excel and preferably knowledge of Ibis and Bluebeam;

• Salary from € 6,000 to € 7,200 gross per 4 weeks (€ 6,500 to € 7,800 gross per month), based on full-time employment;

• An immediate permanent contract;

• In addition to your salary, you receive a fixed amount for sustainable employability, which contributes to staying healthy (2.3% according to the Bouw & Infra collective labor agreement);

• 43 days off according to the Bouw & Infra collective labor agreement. Of these days, 13 are paid out in your individual budget; you can choose to buy these days back;

Do you enjoy being involved in the pricing phase and are you the go-to cost specialist for our awesome construction projects?

As a Calculator at Ballast Nedam West, you play the leading role when it comes to the pricing of the construction project. Whether it is a project in a construction team, a tender, or an in-house development, you provide the right cost advice. You take all necessary aspects into account to arrive at the most appropriate budget and coordinate this with subcontractors and suppliers. Ultimately, you offer a sharp and realistic price and take the lead in this, both internally and externally. After all, you are the cost expert!

In your versatile role, you are in contact with involved parties, such as the architect, the structural engineer, the suppliers, and the client. You enjoy both gathering and sharing information and showing initiative throughout the entire calculation process. You are a starter and a finisher. Additionally, you keep track of relevant price developments and propose alternatives for optimizing the offer.

With us, you work in a pleasant calculation team with 7 enthusiastic colleagues, including your manager. There is room to share ideas or to brainstorm with colleagues about a specific aspect where you need help. If you prefer to work in a quiet (home) environment occasionally, that is also possible.
