The position of Neighborhood Team Member is at Neighborhood Team Amsterdam Zuidoost, part of B&A. As a Neighborhood Team Member, you will work in an accessible, appropriate, sustainable, and cost-effective setting where Amsterdammers can go with all their questions regarding care, housing, health, work, money, social contact, or safety. A place where they are primarily helped well and without hassle. You will be surrounded by specialists, work integrally, and connect with the individual questions and needs of the Amsterdammers.

As a neighborhood team member, you will work together with residents to search for the cause of problems and help them find solutions. You will guide them toward independence, stimulating their own strengths. You want to prevent social isolation and disadvantaged situations and strengthen social integration and participation. As an enthusiastic connector, you will do this by liaising with the right people from your network, including chain partners and, of course, the social network that the residents themselves have. You simply offer truly targeted support, whether that is at the resident's home, at the office, or at another suitable location.

You help a large diversity of Amsterdammers, including people with mild intellectual disabilities, autism, non-acquired brain injury, and mental health (GGZ) issues. You act as a sparring partner for colleagues in one or more areas of expertise, drawing from practical experience and theoretical context in complex and crisis situations. Additionally, you take on the role of case manager for cases involving heavy and multiple problems. You make decisions regarding supplementary WMO provisions if the case cannot be resolved within the neighborhood team. With your experience, this is no problem and you even enjoy it! After all, you know how to handle it, how to be empathetic, and at the same time maintain professional distance. By the way, you don't have to do all of this alone. Within the Zuidoost Neighborhood Team, you work in a multidisciplinary team, including experts by experience and volunteers. Every Neighborhood Team Member has their own specialty and also masters the basic knowledge of the other expertises within the Neighborhood Team. Together, you make a difference in the lives of many Amsterdammers.

• Salary: a gross basic salary in scale 8 according to the CAO-Sociaal Werk, with a favorable travel allowance, pension, and health insurance scheme. Additionally, you will receive an Individual Choice Budget (including an 8.3% end-of-year bonus), which you can use to earn extra money or purchase leave.
