Are you the expert who wants to make the Netherlands cleaner and more sustainable? As a Soil Remediation Advisor at Aveco de Bondt, you will get the chance to make a real impact on urban developments. You will ensure that soil remediation projects run successfully, working on the remediation of contaminated sites and improving soil quality. Whether you are advising clients or collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines, your knowledge and experience are crucial for achieving sustainable results.
In your role as a Soil Remediation Advisor, you are responsible for guiding and advising companies and governments during soil remediation projects. You will be involved in:
Drafting remediation plans and monitoring programs;
Advising clients on compliance with environmental legislation and guidelines;
Supervising soil investigations and the execution of remediations;
Monitoring progress and results, and ensuring clear reporting;
Collaborating with project teams and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
You will deal with diverse projects, from remediating old industrial sites to the redevelopment of urban areas. No project is the same, which makes your work dynamic and challenging.
At Aveco de Bondt, you get the chance to work in a large team of enthusiastic professionals who share your passion for the field. You will be given the space to grow, both personally and professionally, and to work on projects that make the Netherlands more sustainable. A few reasons to choose us:
Sustainable impact: Your work contributes to a cleaner and healthier living environment for the long term;
Challenging projects: You will work on diverse and complex soil remediation projects (see below) that require creative solutions and technical insight;
Development opportunities: We offer plenty of opportunities to further develop yourself through training, education, and coaching;
Flexible working: You have the freedom to work partly from home and to arrange your working hours flexibly;
Friendly and engaged team: Collaboration is central, and there is always room for a team outing or drinks!
One of our projects is the Spoorzone in Tilburg. There, a former workshop of the Dutch Railways is being transformed into a live-work area while preserving the old buildings. Aveco de Bondt has been involved since 2013. Additionally, we are working on the remediations at the Paleiskwartier in Den Bosch, which is also being transformed into a residential and work area. In Arnhem, we are working on the development of Meinerswijk, where, among other things, a former shipyard is being transformed into a new residential neighborhood.
Additionally, we were involved in Arnhem in the redevelopment of the 'Goederen Zuid' railway yard. In approximately four months, 12,000 m³ of heavily contaminated soil was excavated, screened, and removed. Furthermore, approximately 22,000 m³ of soil suitable for reuse was given a new destination. This served the realization of a new stabling yard with 12 train tracks, adjacent inspection paths, a loading and unloading road, electrical substations, and a service building for staff. Want to know more? Then read further on our project website: Soil investigation and remediation for railway site in Arnhem.
All projects illustrate Aveco de Bondt's commitment to realizing sustainable and safe living environments, and offer an inspiring example for a candidate soil remediation project leader. With your leadership and expertise, we can together realize even more valuable projects in the future and contribute to a better world!
You have a passion for the soil field, and you find remediation issues particularly interesting;
You possess a valid driver's license B;
You possess analytical thinking skills; mapping out a complete problem statement and proposing a solution to the client is not a problem for you;
Enough relevant (BRL 2000 and BRL 6000) knowledge and experience to start as a project leader;
Communication skills;
Knowledge of the HSE management system;
Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and Qgis (not a requirement);
Punctual regarding what must be done and creative where possible.
Do you believe you are the very best person for this position, but you do not yet have relevant work experience? Then we challenge you to convince us why we should hire you anyway.
Do you want to work on exciting projects and make a real impact on the future of our living environment? Then please contact Fabien Pas (Corporate Recruiter) via 06 570 01 027 or fpas@avecodebondt.nl. Or apply directly via the "Apply directly" button. We would love to meet you!

With more than thirty colleagues, the Soil & Remediation Advisory Team of Aveco de Bondt is formed, spread across four office locations in the Netherlands (Amstelveen, Holten, Nieuwegein, and Eindhoven). The knowledge and experience of the team ensure good collaboration, both within the team and with clients. Team outings may consist of an excursion centered around soil or a (sporty or educational) activity to experience colleagues in a different setting alongside their work (with tasty food, of course!). In recent years, for example, the 'Vetgasfabriek' remediation site in Amersfoort was visited, we received a tour of the heathland area in the vicinity of Maarn, and we stood together and against each other on a jeu-de-boules court. Furthermore, the team often works together with other teams and specialties within Aveco de Bondt. Examples of this include dewatering and foundation projects, national or urban groundwater projects, area development, and traffic & mobility. As a soil remediation project leader, you can always call upon support from our own field workers and environmental supervisors from the Measurement & Inspections team.
