The role

Do you see opportunities for improvement where others primarily see individual processes?
At Athora, process management goes beyond merely describing processes. You create overview in an environment where multiple departments, systems, and interests converge.

What you'll do

You are a bridge builder and a driver. You bring people and interests together, ask the right questions, and use facts and insights to make it clear where improvement is needed. As a Process Manager at Athora, you connect people, processes, and IT. You create overview across departments, make performance and bottlenecks visible, and set improvements in motion. In this way, you contribute to a more efficient, better manageable, and agile organization.

As a Process Manager, you are responsible for analyzing, documenting, managing, and continuously improving processes. You ensure that the line organization has clear, workable, and manageable processes and has insight into their performance. In doing so, you look beyond individual departments. From your end-to-end perspective, you identify bottlenecks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement and ensure these are discussed in the right place.

Concretely, this means you:

  • analyze, design, document, manage, and further develop processes;
  • steer process performance using KPIs and other relevant management information;
  • identify trends, bottlenecks, and deviations in a timely manner and translate them into concrete improvement proposals;
  • work together with the involved teams on process improvement, standardization, and innovation;
  • make the progress and results of processes transparent and report clearly on them;
  • ensure that relevant process risks are demonstrably controlled;
  • provide advice both requested and unsolicited and, when necessary, escalate topics to line management;
  • actively forge the connection between domains, operations, and IT, especially in an organization that is in full development.

With this, you help Athora to make processes more manageable, predictable, transferable, and scalable, while simultaneously increasing effectiveness and efficiency and reducing costs and unnecessary complexity. Additionally, this contributes to greater flexibility and a greater learning capacity of the organization, and enables further standardization and continuous improvement.

What do we ask of you?

For this role, we are looking for someone who switches easily between content, people, and organizational interests. You can analyze and structure without losing sight of the bigger picture. And more importantly: you know how to get others on board.

You recognize yourself in the following:

  • You have experience with process management, process optimization, or operational excellence in a complex organization.
  • You have knowledge of IT4IT, COBIT, and other leading IT standards and frameworks, and the ability to apply these effectively in a complex organizational environment.
  • You can analyze processes end-to-end and translate them into concrete improvement initiatives.
  • You are used to working with KPIs, performance management, and process risks.
  • You are analytically strong, result-oriented, and organizationally sensitive.
  • You communicate persuasively and can bring different interests together.
  • You dare to make bottlenecks discussable and to escalate where necessary.
  • You take initiative and get energy from an organization that is in motion and change.
  • Good communication skills in both Dutch and English, both oral and written.
