Requirements

What we're looking for

  • experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software;
  • technical insight and experience with floor plans, diagrams, or technical drawings;
  • an accurate and structured way of working;
  • curiosity about technology and how things can be done smarter;
  • sufficient command of the Dutch language to properly understand and discuss technical information.

Nice to have

Experience with C#, scripts, or macros is a plus, but not a requirement. The same applies to experience within security technology.

For example, do you have experience as a technical drafter within electrical engineering or installation technology and do you want to get to know a new technical environment? Then we would love to hear from you.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

You can count on:

  • a good salary;
  • 38 vacation days per year based on full-time employment;
  • a one-year contract with a view to permanent employment;
  • a laptop and iPhone;
  • guidance and room for training and further development;
  • a pension scheme via PMT;
  • a stable, international employer with a professional and people-oriented culture.

The role

Drawing smart is better than doing the same work twice

As a CAD Engineer at Bosch Building Technologies, you will work in AutoCAD on technical drawings for security solutions. You will create and manage, among other things, floor plans and block diagrams that our engineers and project teams can use to move forward.

But we are not just looking for someone who can draw well. Do you notice that a certain action keeps recurring? Then we would rather look at how we can automate it. Within the team, we therefore also develop our own tools to make the drawing work smarter and more efficient.

You will work on special projects within Security, some of which touch upon national security. We therefore cannot always tell you everything about customers and locations. We would love to introduce you to the technology, our way of working, and the world behind these projects.

What you'll do

From technical input to a drawing that the project can proceed with

You receive the technical information for a project from sales and engineering. You translate this into accurate technical drawings in AutoCAD.

In addition, you are not just busy with drawing. You work closely with engineering and continuously look at how the work can be clearer, better, and smarter.

  • Drawing in AutoCAD: creating and managing technical floor plans and block diagrams.
  • Processing technical input: converting information from sales and engineering into usable drawings.
  • Processing revisions: adjusting drawings and ensuring the correct versions are available.
  • Thinking along with engineering: identifying technical details and working together toward a good solution.
  • Working smarter: recognizing repetitive tasks and looking at how we can automate them.
  • Developing tools: working with our own CAD tools and, if you find it interesting, learning how we further develop these, among other things, with C#.

You will be onboarded by an experienced colleague who knows the technical environment well. This way, you will learn our way of drawing, the projects, and security technology step by step.

We are not looking for someone who can already do everything. We find a good foundation in CAD more important than years of experience within security.

What Bosch offers you

Can this be done smarter?

Is that a question you regularly ask yourself when working in AutoCAD? Then we might just be a good match.

Apply as a CAD Engineer Security at Bosch Building Technologies and help build technical security solutions that matter. #LikeABosch
