What we're looking for

HBO/WO working and thinking level, preferably in an IT-related field, and at least 6 years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar position.
Demonstrable experience with data warehousing and strong knowledge of SQL and PowerDesigner, which you use to develop data models and reliable data solutions.
Experience with information and problem analysis and translating complex requirements into concrete technical solutions within a professional data environment.

Nice to have

Knowledge of GIT, PowerCenter and/or Stonebranch and experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment in which code reviews and knowledge sharing are part of the daily work.
Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting and/or Regnology is a plus, which would allow you to quickly contribute to data issues surrounding financial and regulatory reports.

This position falls in scale 10, with a gross monthly salary between € 5,179.72 and € 6,906.29 (based on 36 hours per week). And this is also what you get from us:

The role

As a Data Engineer at ASN Bank in Utrecht, you translate complex regulatory requirements into smart data solutions. You will help build our new regulatory reporting engine and contribute directly to reliable financial reports.

What you'll do

As a Data Engineer at ASN Bank, you are the connecting link between data, technology, and the business. Within the Data Delivery team, you ensure reliable datamarts and reports that colleagues and external regulators can trust. You work on complex data issues and have a direct influence on the quality of our financial and regulatory reporting.

On a daily basis, you monitor data flows and data quality within the data warehouse and the datamarts and intervene in case of deviations, ensuring that internal and external reports are reliable and available in a timely manner.
You translate requirements from regulators and the business into concrete data issues and requirements for ASN Bank, combining information and problem analysis with a sharp eye for data quality.
You design and model new data entities and develop modeling proposals. In doing so, you coordinate closely with source owners, Finance, and other developers to arrive at suitable data solutions.
You analyze and resolve complex technical and functional incidents and work together with various stakeholders to realize structural solutions and further improve the reliability of our data chain.
You actively contribute to the quality of the team by reviewing the code and designs of colleagues, presenting your own solutions, and sharing knowledge within the DevOps team.

Together, you will work on data issues that are important for the financial management of the bank as well as for our accountability to external regulators.
