Business Risk Manager

As a Business Risk Manager at ASN Bank in Utrecht, you combine sharp risk analysis with results-driven action. You are the trusted advisor to management who sees and interprets risks, and helps build a culture of risk-aware thinking.

As a Business Risk Manager at ASN Bank, you will work in the heart of the Sales and Marketing domain. From within the Risk Process & Control Unit, you will advise the management team on non-financial risks within your domain, ranging from process risks and compliance to privacy and integrity. You are the one who identifies risks early, interprets and describes them sharply, and challenges management to make the right balance between control and commercial interests.

• You perform risk analyses and contribute to monthly reports regarding the status of controlled business operations within CSMO.
• You proactively advise the management team on risk management and the quality of control measures.
• You help implement risk policy and actively build a culture of risk awareness.
• You immerse yourself in the workings of our commercial activities and challenges, with a focus on the area of attention assigned to you (ranging from marketing and pricing to channels and distribution).
• You fulfill a bridging function between first, second, and third-line stakeholders, including colleagues in the business and Audit, Risk, and Compliance.
• You contribute to overarching control objectives within CSMO, coach, and share knowledge with colleagues within the team.

The Chief Sales and Marketing (CSMO) domain fulfills the brand, social, and commercial strategy of the bank to ultimately increase market share, profitability, and customer and advisor satisfaction. Work is done towards this objective within the framework of controlled business operations, with attention to a healthy risk culture.

Within the commercial domain, you work in the 'Risk Process & Control' team. This team falls within the "Business Continuity & Integrity" department, which ensures compliance with laws and regulations and provides proactive first-line risk management within CSMO. The team consists of independent professionals who work closely together and share knowledge. You work at least two days per week in the office in Utrecht.

You are analytically strong and communicate clearly. Additionally, you are able to act independently within the framework of the responsibilities assigned to you. You take initiative, take responsibility, and hold your own in a changing environment. You are a strong interlocutor for CSMO management and create good collaboration with colleagues from Audit, Risk, and Compliance. You understand how interests from business and control can clash and enjoy bringing different perspectives together.

Depending on knowledge and experience, this position falls into scale 11, which means a salary range between € 5,946 and € 7,928 gross per month based on 36 hours. And this is also what you get from us:
