Are you ready to apply your nursing knowledge flexibly according to your wishes in a place where every action counts and every encounter has meaning? Join the flexpool of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek - the oncology hospital where you truly contribute to progress in cancer care.
You determine the rhythm! Through our planning system, you choose your own working days, your times, and even individual shifts. This allows you to effortlessly align your work with your family, your hobbies, or another job in healthcare. Flexibility is at the core of your way of working.
Working in the flexpool means you deploy your expertise where it is needed most - in surgical or medical oncology departments. But you also get a unique opportunity: for an agreed period, you will work fully within a team on a specific oncology department, as if it were your own home base. After that, you switch to a new department. In this way, you explore the full breadth of the oncology field step by step and discover where your heart lies within oncological care.
In oncology, you are more than a nurse; you are a constant factor during an intensive period of someone's life. You do not only perform technical procedures, but you also guide patients and their loved ones with tact, warmth, and professional knowledge. Thanks to your commitment, our patient satisfaction remains exceptionally high, averaging an 8.5.
You choose: shifts, your own working days - and yes, even if you can work individual shifts, you are very valuable to our patient care.
You discover: by temporarily working within different teams, you get to know oncology from the inside out.
You grow: through training, coaching, and career advancement opportunities, such as the oncology nurse training program.
You make a difference: every shift contributes directly to better care AND a better quality of life for people with cancer.
At the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, we all commit to the same goal: the best care for every patient and every type of cancer. That is no small feat. But not impossible. Here, science and care work together on innovation. Time and again, we find new ways that help people with cancer worldwide. Here we save lives, we win time and quality.
Do you recognize yourself in the profile below? Then we would love to get to know you!
You are a qualified nurse, BIG registered (HBO-V, MBO-V, or Inservice training).
Preferably, you have clinical experience as an (oncology) nurse. No experience? You are also welcome to apply if you have internship experience in a hospital.
You work in a team-oriented yet independent manner: you make an active contribution within the multidisciplinary team, while also confidently taking responsibility for your own decisions and actions.
You possess strong reflective skills: you look critically at your own actions, are open to feedback, and use this to grow.
You are explicitly patient-oriented and always keep the well-being, wishes, and experience of the patient central.
You remain calm under pressure: you can switch quickly, prioritize, and act in the face of complex or intensive care requests.
You are driven and eager to learn: you show initiative, seek depth, and seize development opportunities with both hands.
You enjoy collaborating and actively contribute to knowledge sharing and collective solutions.
