Do you want to make an impact on a socially relevant digital service? As a Managing Product Owner, you will work on innovative solutions for the Royal Notarial Professional Organization (KNB). You are responsible for the development and further development of products used daily by notaries and other chain partners. In doing so, you combine the role of Product Owner with the analytical eye of a Business Analyst and act as the connecting link between the client, stakeholders, and the development team.
As a Managing Product Owner, you are responsible for maximizing the value of your product. You represent the interests of the KNB and other stakeholders towards the development team and translate complex issues into clear requirements, processes, and concrete solutions.
You feel ownership of the product and are the first point of contact for everything within the scope of your product. You work independently on complex issues, advise stakeholders and management on the impact of choices, and switch effortlessly between strategy and execution: from product vision and roadmap to backlog management, sprint planning, and the acceptance of delivered software.
As a Managing Product Owner, you will be involved in, among other things:
Analyzing complex needs, processes, data, and user feedback and translating these into product goals and requirements;
Drafting, managing, and prioritizing the Product Backlog;
Defining user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team;
Developing and communicating the product vision and roadmap in collaboration with the Product Manager;
Acting as the first point of contact for stakeholders within the KNB, notaries, NSLs, and suppliers, and influencing decision-making where necessary;
Modeling and optimizing complex business and chain processes;
Guiding sprint plannings and providing substantive support to the development team during realization;
Organizing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and formally accepting delivered functionality;
Directing releases and changes, making decisions on release timing in coordination with the Product Manager and Project Leader, and initiating RFC impact analyses;
Taking responsibility for capacity planning and resource allocation of the team within budget, and reporting on progress, delivered value, and financial status;
Coaching and guiding Product Owners and contributing to the further development of the field.
Within this role, you work explicitly through the lens of a Business Analyst. You investigate complex issues, analyze processes, data, and user needs, and translate these into concrete improvements. You ensure that stakeholders and development teams speak the same language and make complex subject matter transparent with clear requirements, process models, and analyses.
You are not only responsible for what is being built, but also why it is being built and what value this provides to the users.
You are analytically strong, take ownership easily, and know how to bring people with different interests together. You feel comfortable in a complex environment where technology, business, and stakeholder management converge. You are decisive, provide informal direction to the team, and know when to steer, persuade, or connect.
In addition, you possess:
You will enter a challenging environment where technology, laws and regulations, and social services converge. You will receive a great deal of responsibility and the freedom to provide direction to the development of products used daily by thousands of professionals.
You will work intensively with developers, architects, Product Managers, and stakeholders both within and outside the KNB. In doing so, you will be given the space to contribute ideas substantively, make strategic choices, demonstrate informal leadership, and guide less experienced colleagues in their development.
A challenging role with a lot of responsibility and impact.
Working on socially relevant digital services.
Plenty of room for personal initiative and professional development.
Collaborating with experienced consultants, architects, and development teams.
An informal working environment in which knowledge sharing and collaboration are central.
Good employment conditions matching your experience.
Enthusiastic?
Do you want to make a difference as a Managing Product Owner within a complex and socially relevant program? And do you get energy from combining business analysis, stakeholder management, informal leadership, and product development? Then we would love to meet you.
