Asphalt Plant Technical Worker

As an Asphalt Plant Technical Worker, you and your colleagues are responsible for a smooth production process. You work in a close-knit team where you can rely on each other and where initiative is valued. From preparing production equipment to identifying malfunctions and performing technical tasks: you ensure that the asphalt plant continues to run optimally.

As an Asphalt Plant Technical Worker, you work in the very heart of production. Together with your colleagues, you prepare production, monitor installations, and ensure that deviations are noticed in a timely manner. You observe the process, assess reports, and take action when necessary.

You work with various technical installations and also deal with electrical engineering and control cabinets. You do not need to be a specialist, but you find technology interesting and are willing to further develop yourself in this area through training and courses.

The work is varied. One day you are working outside on technical tasks, maintenance, or welding work. You also regularly work with mobile equipment, such as a forklift or bobcat. The other day, you monitor the production process or contribute ideas for improvements within the plant. It is precisely that combination of technology, freedom, and responsibility that makes the work so enjoyable.

You work in a shift system involving day, night, and weekend shifts. The start time is often known, but the end time can vary. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is flexible and energized by a dynamic working environment.

• Setting up and checking production equipment

• Observing and monitoring the production process

• Identifying and resolving deviations and malfunctions

• Performing technical maintenance work

• Assisting with electrical engineering work and control cabinets

• Performing welding work

• Working with mobile equipment, such as a forklift and bobcat

• Contributing ideas for improvements within the asphalt plant

• Collaborating with operators and technical colleagues to ensure production runs optimally

• Registering and following up on process reports

You are technically proficient, show initiative, and enjoy thinking along about improvements. You like to work together, but can also make decisions independently when the situation calls for it.

In addition, you have:

• Technical affinity or experience in an industrial environment

• Experience with technology, maintenance, or production processes

• Interest in electrical engineering and control technology

• Experience with welding or the willingness to develop this further

• Experience with a forklift and/or bobcat, or the willingness to obtain certificates for these

• A good command of the Dutch language

• The ability to properly interpret technical information and reports

• A flexible attitude towards day, night, and weekend shifts

• A proactive and responsible work attitude
