Requirements
What we're looking for
- A completed education at MBO level 4 or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in a logistical, warehouse, or supply chain environment.
- Driving license B-E, or you are willing to obtain your E driving license.
- Professional command of the Dutch language; command of the English language is desired.
Do you not yet meet everything? For many parts, you can follow a training course with us. What you bring yourself is motivation: that makes the difference.
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP. Experience with inventory management and administrative logistical processes is a plus.
The role
During a power grid failure, the correct materials must be ready immediately. As a Logistics Worker, you are the linchpin in that material provision and are a tangible part of the energy transition. You will start in our warehouse in Hoogeveen and participate in the move to a new, ultra-modern warehouse in Apeldoorn. Together with an enthusiastic and driven team, you ensure that the Netherlands can continue to rely on a reliable electricity grid at locations throughout the country.
What you'll do
As a Logistics Worker, you ensure a reliable and efficient execution of the logistical processes in TenneT's warehouse. You process and manage materials, inventory data, and administrative processes, so that during outages, as well as during maintenance and projects, we always have the correct materials at our disposal. In this way, you contribute to a safe, high-quality, and well-organized supply chain. Concretely, this means:
- You manage and process inventory and material data and accurately register logistical transactions in the systems, so that the inventory is always correct and materials are findable and available.
- You support incoming and outgoing goods flows and coordinate daily warehouse activities where necessary, so that materials are in the right place on time.
- You perform stock checks and inventories and monitor quality, safety, compliance, and inventory accuracy. You adhere to agreements and procedures and take a leading role in this, so that everyone can work safely.
- You identify and report deviations, errors, and bottlenecks in logistical processes and contribute to improving warehouse processes, work instructions, and systems, so that we always work smarter and more efficiently.
- You prepare reports and provide internal stakeholders with up-to-date information. You work based on KPIs and quality objectives, so that everyone knows where we stand.
- You are part of the outage service organization, so that in the event of a failure, the necessary materials are quickly available and the grid works again as quickly as possible.
You work in a team of 8 people focused on logistical work. The culture is no-nonsense: we are driven, we keep our agreements, and we enjoy our work. Your base location is Hoogeveen; later you will move to the new warehouse in Apeldoorn. You work on-site and are also active at locations throughout the Netherlands, for which a company car is available. In addition, you work closely with internal customers, colleagues, and logistical partners.
How do you keep the Netherlands powered?
At TenneT, we look for professionals who contribute to an effective and future-proof project organization. We expect you to have the right experience and skills to make a valuable contribution to our team and our mission. Therefore, we ask of you:
Competencies
To truly make a difference in this role, you recognize yourself in the following competencies:
- Action-oriented: You take responsibility for your own work and agreements and take on tasks proactively. You never walk through the warehouse empty-handed, because there is always something to do. Even when priorities or circumstances change, you switch quickly.
- Optimizing work processes: You work accurately and structured, set priorities, and plan your work effectively. You identify deviations, solve problems independently, and actively contribute to better processes and working methods, with an eye for quality, safety, and compliance.
- Effective communication: You collaborate well with colleagues, suppliers, and internal customers and communicate clearly and professionally. You say what you do and do what you say, so that others can rely on you.
This role falls within the Supply Chain Management Supporter job profile, so that it is clear for both you and TenneT which responsibilities, expectations, and growth opportunities belong to this position.
A VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct) and a UVO screening are required for this position.
TenneT offers you the chance to contribute to a sustainable energy future. Together with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders, you will work on innovative solutions that make the energy transition possible. With us, you will get the space to develop your talent and work in an environment where your growth is central.
We offer you
- A permanent contract based on 32 to 40 hours per week with a two-month probationary period.
- A salary in scale 5: €3,499 to €5,627 per month with 8% holiday allowance, 6% year-end bonus, and 70% pension contribution.
- A solid pension via ABP: we pay 70% of your premium.
- 43 leave days per year.
All mentioned employment conditions apply to full-time employment, unless stated otherwise.
We attach great value to a good work-life balance and your personal development. Therefore, we offer flexible solutions such as:
- Hybrid working, including a travel allowance, internet allowance, and a home office allowance.
- Support for your vitality, with a contribution towards a sports subscription and health insurance.
- Development opportunities via the TenneT Academy, so that you can continue to expand your knowledge and skills.
We stimulate initiative and give you the space to come up with new ideas. Together, we ensure that the Netherlands stays in motion and is ready for the energy of tomorrow.
