KWS traineeship

Do you (almost) have your Civil Engineering diploma in hand? Don't know exactly what you want to develop or what you are best at yet? Then this traineeship at KWS Infra is for you! Even if you already know exactly what you want to become, this is the right first step. For example, if you want to become a site manager, this traineeship will help you get there.

The traineeship
In the traineeship at KWS, your development is central. You will get to know our various fields/disciplines such as execution, work preparation, and calculation, but you will also get to know these phases during the tender process and during the design phase. You will work on your personal development and receive good guidance. Your supervisor helps you at work, and your coach thinks along with you about possibilities for your development/career.

By going through these different disciplines where you are actually working in a role, such as calculator, work preparer, or (assistant) site manager, you as a young professional will know at the end of the traineeship which talents and ambitions you have and how we can together further shape your career within KWS or VolkerWessels. You will be given all the space to develop yourself and there are many opportunities for growth.

What the program entails
The program lasts 2 to 3 years, depending on your wishes and interest(s). You will work in different departments to see and experience as many sides of our company as possible. In doing so, you will be part of a group of young professionals. Every quarter, a number of them organize a project visit to share their experiences with each other and learn from one another. You will also follow an extensive course program including training from the VolkerWessels Academy.

In addition, you can also become a member of Jong VolkerWessels: a network of young professionals within VolkerWessels who organize all kinds of interesting activities, such as project visits, workshops, and think tanks.

Personal development
This traineeship offers you not only the opportunity to discover what you enjoy, but also where your talents lie! We help you get started with your personal development in various ways. In addition to always having a supervisor who helps you in your daily work, you can go to your coach with all your questions regarding your traineeship, (career) coaching, and/or training needs. This way, together with your coach, you will draw up a personal annual plan with concrete agreements and goals. Additionally, we encourage you to develop yourself and expand your network within our company, because together you go further.

You are an enthusiastic and driven starter who has a lot of potential. You also have a drive to continue developing yourself. After completing your traineeship, we would therefore like to see you grow into a position that fits your ambitions perfectly. Last but certainly not least, you have a passion for infrastructure technology!

To be able to complete your traineeship successfully, your foundation must also be solid. In addition to the knowledge provided, we offer you:

• Starting salary is € 3,000 gross per 4 weeks;

• Electric lease car with charging pass for all of Europe;

• Laptop and phone;

• You can work hybrid; at various project locations, office, and at home;

• You are available full-time;

• You have completed or are almost finished with a civil engineering education or a technical business administration education;

• You have an affinity with the infrastructure industry;

• You possess a driver's license or are currently taking driving lessons.
