Within our organization, estimations play an important role in the preparation of our projects. Currently, we use existing methods and tools, but we want to investigate whether these still align with our future ambitions.
Therefore, we are looking for a graduate student to conduct independent research into the implementation of a new estimation system. You will investigate which software solutions are available, how they align with our processes, and what the advantages and disadvantages are compared to our current way of working.
The outcome of your research is not predetermined. It may be that a new system offers added value, but it may also turn out that our current way of working with Excel remains the best solution. The goal is to arrive at an objective and substantiated advice.
During this graduation assignment, you will:
Map out the current estimation processes.
Inventory the wishes and needs within the organization.
Research which estimation systems are available within the construction sector.
Compare different systems on functionality, ease of use, costs, and implementation possibilities.
Analyze the impact on processes, efficiency, and collaboration.
Draft a substantiated advice for management.
A challenging and practical graduation assignment.
Plenty of room for your own initiative and research.
Direct influence on future ways of working within the organization.
Guidance from an experienced colleague from the estimation department.
An informal and professional working environment within the construction sector.
A HBO student in the direction of Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, Built Environment, Smart Building, or similar.
Analytically strong and research-oriented.
Interest in process optimization, software, and the construction sector.
Independent, critical, and communicative.
During your graduation process, you will be guided by the manager of the estimation department, who will support you in both the substantive and practical aspects of the research.
Are you ready to provide advice that actually makes an impact on our organization? Then we would love to get in touch with you. 🚀
