The role

Veolia is a global leader in sustainable energy and environmental solutions. We have been active in the Netherlands for more than 50 years. Together with 650 colleagues in the Netherlands, we work on challenging technical innovations to reduce CO2 emissions and protect the environment. In this, the well-being and safety of our employees come first. Every day, we manage the installations of a large number of buildings from various companies and organizations. Think of the national government, municipalities, hospitals, factories, schools, industrial plants, and heating networks. We therefore work for our customers on and with various installations, ranging from hyper-modern to outdated systems. No two days are the same!

What you'll do

Within Veolia Building Management, you ensure that our operational locations and projects meet all requirements regarding health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ). You are the connecting factor that translates policy into practice and activates colleagues and subcontractors to work safely and consciously.

You will be on the road a lot to visit locations throughout the Netherlands. There, you perform inspections and LMRA's, discuss unsafe situations, and ensure that work instructions and PPE are correctly applied. You register and analyze incidents, accidents, and near-misses in our systems, after which you conduct the initial investigations and recognize trends.

In addition, you play a strong role in safeguarding laws, regulations, and quality systems. You prepare and guide audits (such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and VCA), support RI&E's, task risk analyses, and Health & Safety plans, and provide practical toolbox meetings. In this way, you contribute directly to a continuous improvement of our processes and a safe working environment.
