Requirements

What we're looking for

You possess a Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent through experience;
You have experience with industrial manufacturing and engineering projects, process control of production environments, and conducting process audits;
You are familiar with improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, PDCA;
You have knowledge of quality control tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, CTQs, Control plans;
You have knowledge/insight into various production techniques;
You are communicatively skilled and possess the necessary dose of persuasiveness;
You are willing to travel occasionally;
You have a good command of the English language, both spoken and written. German is a plus.

The role

As a Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) at VDL Konings, you are responsible for the continuous assurance and optimization of our suppliers' quality performance. You are part of our purchasing department where, together with your 6 colleagues, you guide new suppliers and focus on improving and securing the current (production) processes of suppliers.

In the event of structural complaints, you take action to initiate improvement trajectories.

By applying the correct methodologies, you know how to stimulate our suppliers to optimize cooperation and quality.

What you'll do

Proactively initiating, preparing, and executing improvement trajectories in order to assure and improve delivery reliability and product quality at (sub)suppliers;
Drafting and realizing quality conditions and quality targets, and ensuring the implementation and enforcement of customer requirements;
Assisting in the setup/development/release of new suppliers;
Performing internal and external audits with the aim of raising quality to a higher level and acting as part of the response to quality problems;
Handling, guiding, and communicating internal and external deviations through 8D reports.
