The role

What will you do?

As a Process Engineer at VD Leegte Metaal in Hapert, you will work on various specific automation projects, such as the further development of an automatic welding robot cell and the automation of presses and the robotic loading and unloading of parts in a CNC milling machine. Within the field of mechatronics, you will become an important link for our company. The automations can be both process and product related. You will collaborate with colleagues from different departments within the company. Externally, you will also maintain contacts with various suppliers to steer projects in the right direction.

What you'll do

During the first few weeks, you will be given time to get to know the company better and will therefore shadow every department for a few days. Additionally, the following activities fall under your responsibility:

Identifying weaknesses in production and making recommendations for improvement;
Actually implementing these improvements/automations, whereby VD Leegte Metaal carries out this project itself, whether or not in collaboration with external companies;
Monitoring the progress of projects;
You will take responsibility for certain programming tasks of a robot/cobot;
You enjoy and find it interesting to stay up to date with new innovations in the field of production automation.
