Nice to have
This job advert was originally written in Dutch.
Your role:
A customer requests a customized version of an existing module, machine, or system. Engineering modifies a part or technical specification. A supplier announces that a component is no longer available. Or an improvement from production must be permanently incorporated into the product design.
Every change has consequences. Which configuration applies to which customer or which serial number? Should existing stock be used up, adjusted, or written off? Which parts need to be reordered? Have the drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, and production orders been updated? And does Production have the right information and materials at the right time?
As Change Coordinator, you manage this process from request through to implementation and closure. You ensure that the impact of a change is assessed integrally in advance, that decisions are recorded, and that all involved departments carry out their actions in a timely manner.
In doing so, you monitor both temporary and customer-specific configurations as well as permanent product changes. You prevent old and new versions from being used interchangeably and ensure a controlled transition to the new situation.
Because this is a new position within VDL Konings, you will also be given the space to further shape and professionalize the change process. You will be part of the Supply Chain & Purchasing department and work intensively with almost all disciplines within the company.
You are a structured and persistent coordinator who understands that a seemingly small change can have major consequences for the rest of the organization. You look beyond just the technical adjustment and also oversee the consequences for materials, inventory, planning, production, costs, and customer agreements.
You do not need to design every technical solution yourself. However, you must be able to understand technical information, ask the right questions, and recognize when information or decision-making is not yet complete.
You are clear in agreements, hold colleagues accountable for actions, and do not let go of changes until they have been implemented in a demonstrable and controlled manner. In doing so, you know how to connect different interests. You understand the need for speed, but simultaneously safeguard quality, traceability, and process discipline.
Do you get energy from connecting technology, processes, data, and people? Do you ensure that a change is not only approved but also actually correctly implemented in drawings, bills of materials, orders, inventory, and production?
Then we would love to get in touch with you.
Apply for the position of Change Coordinator at VDL Konings and help us realize changes in a controlled, traceable, and effective manner throughout the entire organization.
The strength of VDL
At VDL Konings, you work in the heart of a technical organization in which development and production are closely linked. As a result, you see immediately what the effect of your work is on materials, production orders, the shop floor, and ultimately the customer's machine or production line.
The position of Change Coordinator is new. This means that you not only coordinate changes but also have actual influence on the way VDL Konings further organizes the change and configuration process.
You will receive a central position with a lot of contact within the organization. You will work together with technical specialists, purchasers, planners, project managers, and production colleagues, and ensure that product changes are not only conceived but also fully and controlledly realized.
