The role

What will you do?

As a commercial vehicle technician at VDL Bus & Coach Nederland, you will work in our workshop in Valkenswaard, close to the factory where our coaches and public transport buses are designed and built. You will work on both diesel vehicles and electric vehicles. This provides the opportunity to pursue your own technical interests and further develop in this area. These are your tasks:

What you'll do

Performing regular maintenance through to complex repairs.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults.
Collaborating with colleagues to keep our vehicles in top condition or to make them operational again.

Your team

Experience as a junior (commercial vehicle) technician, 1st class technician, 2nd class technician, or technical specialist.
Experience with heavier equipment is a plus.
NEN 9140 certificate or willingness to obtain this through VDL Bus & Coach.
Willingness to perform fault-finding services outside of working hours (once every 2 months).

About the company & team

You will join a close-knit team of approximately 20 colleagues, including reception, warehouse, and sales. In the workshop, you will work with 11 colleagues. Together with your colleagues—1st class technicians, 2nd class technicians, technical specialists, and body repairers—you ensure that our buses remain in top condition or become operational again. Everyone brings different experience and expertise that we enjoy sharing with one another. You will work day shifts and also participate in the service call rotation.
