Project Coordinator Stores

• You are organizationally strong and maintain an overview when many parties want something from you at the same time

• You have technical knowledge of construction, and know what you are seeing on-site and when something is not right

• You direct contractors and suppliers based on agreements and hold them to the schedule

• You are on-site a lot and solve problems where necessary

• At least 1 year of experience as a project leader, project coordinator, or assistant project manager in construction, and/or an education in construction engineering at TU Delft or HBO

• €3,000 to €4,500 gross per month, depending on experience.

• You work largely on-site at our new Foodstores, with our Campus in the Van Nelle Fabriek in Rotterdam as your home base. An open building with lots of light and a large garden.

Upfront is a Dutch brand for (sports) nutrition and supplements. Our mission: to radically simplify the nutrition industry. We are growing approximately 250% per year, went from €21M to €70M in revenue, and are also building our own stores (Foodstores) which we are rolling out across the country. It is one of the largest retail expansions in the Netherlands.

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to help set up these Foodstores. Together with our Store Developer, you will guide the expansion of each new store, from an empty unit to opening day. We handle project management entirely in-house. This means you are the one in control on-site, not an external agency. You will be at the properties more often than in the office.

Some weeks you will prepare the next location. You will issue tenders, compare offers, and together with the Store Developer, select the parties that will do the construction. Other weeks you will mainly be on the construction site: you will lead the work meetings, perform quality controls, and ensure that every supplier delivers on time. This requires someone who is organizationally strong and can manage on a construction site just as well as behind a schedule.

A Foodstore is ready in five to six weeks. At that pace, every day counts, and every store that opens on time and within budget brings the rollout one step further. Per project, you are the owner of the timeline and the budget.

• Guide the expansion of new Foodstores on-site, from the start of construction to completion, together with the Store Developer

• Issue tenders and select contractors and suppliers based on those

• Maintain contact with suppliers and manage all suppliers during construction

• Monitor timelines, so that every store is ready in five to six weeks

• Lead the work meetings on-site and perform quality controls

• Manage the budget per project and adjust where necessary
