And perhaps the most beautiful: the freedom. You decide for yourself how to approach your work. Within your field, you are the expert, and that is how we treat you. We love to give you the space to come up with and implement your own ideas.
What is real wins.
Some weeks you will work on a strategic project from A to Z: the annual review cycle, a new onboarding program for managers, or HR policies that still need to be written. Other weeks you will be sitting at a table with a team leader about something that just happened, from a difficult conversation to an absenteeism case. We are looking for someone who performs both types of work with the same sharpness: the project you lead yourself and the case that calls upon you.
Coach and advise managers on their HR issues, from development and collaboration to performance
Take ownership of strategic People projects such as the performance cycle, leadership onboarding, and new HR policies, from idea to execution
Identify trends on the shop floor and translate them into improvements in process, culture, or policy
Handle casework carefully: from absenteeism to sensitive situations, with an accurate file
Work closely with Pip and the MT to keep our People approach aligned
Ensure our HR systems and files are up-to-date and reliable
You work at our Campus in the Van Nelle Fabriek in Rotterdam. An open building with lots of light and a large garden.
Upfront is a Dutch brand for (sports) nutrition and supplements. Our mission: to radically simplify the nutrition industry, without fine print or vague claims. We are growing approximately 250% per year, went from €21M to €70M in revenue, and are also building our own stores (Foodstores) which we are rolling out across the country.
We are looking for a People Business Partner for our People team. You will be the sparring partner for managers at the Campus, in the stores, the distribution center, and the factory: you translate the challenges they face into concrete HR solutions, and together with Pip, our HR Manager, you build the programs and policies that underpin them.
Since November, we have grown from 40 to 85 colleagues at the Campus, and with our stores, distribution centers, and factory, we have more than 400 people. Our managers often grow faster than they can gain experience: someone who was working in the store themselves last year is now leading a team. You help determine how well they succeed in that, and you are given the space to decide for yourself what is needed to achieve that.
