Planner / Work Preparer

• A gross monthly salary between € 3,389 and € 5,373 matching your knowledge and experience;  

• 25 vacation days and 13 ADV days;

The starting point is a 40-hour work week. A shorter work week is negotiable, with a preference for presence five days a week.  

At SWARCO in Amersfoort, we are looking for a Planner / Work Preparer who ensures that the right people can work at the right place at the right time. 

In this role, you are in daily contact with project leaders, engineers, and team leaders. You translate their requests into a realistic personnel plan and look beyond just availability. Which specialist best fits a job? Which tasks must be completed first? And what are the consequences if a schedule changes? 

Our projects consist of various phases and require diverse specialist knowledge. Not every colleague can perform every task. Therefore, you constantly take capacities, availability, and dependencies within projects into account. You see many tasks coming months in advance, but in the meantime, new requests continue to arrive and agreements change. That makes planning at SWARCO dynamic and challenging. 

Does a project shift? Then you immediately investigate what that means for the rest of the planning. Can people be deployed differently? Is work interchangeable? Where do bottlenecks arise? You discuss the possibilities with colleagues and ensure that execution can continue. 

You work with our own planning tool, which we are continuously developing further. Your experience and ideas are very welcome in this regard. Have you previously worked with systems or processes that were designed more smartly or efficiently? Then we would love to think along with you about how we can apply that knowledge. 

In addition to planning, you also have an important secondary task. You support the preparation of material orders for projects. Based on drawings and specifications, you inventory which materials are needed and ensure that the order lists are in order. Do you not have experience with this yet? No problem. We will train you in this. The emphasis of the position remains explicitly on planning. 

You work primarily from our office in Amersfoort and have a lot of contact with the colleagues you work with daily. Most of the work takes place during regular office hours. At the same time, you feel responsible for the good execution of our projects and think along when unexpected situations require a solution.

The planning is set, everyone is scheduled. Tasks are coordinated with one another. And then a project shifts. Precisely in that week when things were already quite busy. 

Where others primarily see what no longer fits, you see new possibilities. You consult with colleagues, look at alternatives, shift tasks where necessary, and still discover space in the planning. That is the challenge and the pleasure of planning.

Experience with reading drawings, specifications, and preparing material lists is not required. We will teach you that.
