The role
A versatile role for those who love working independently in healthcare. As a blood collection technician, you will have an impact that is different every single day, in diverse environments and situations.
What you'll do
You will independently perform blood draws from patients. You will do this both at the collection labs in Harderwijk or Lelystad, at collection points in the region, and at patients' homes.
You will ensure correct administrative processing, such as reading in orders.
Additionally, you will also be responsible for collecting specimens, such as urine, and ensuring their careful processing.
Colleague Rianne says:
"It is fun to visit people at home in all sorts of different environments, from a farm to an apartment building or a nursing home. No two days are the same, and the mutual contact with colleagues is very good and pleasant. On top of that, you are a link in patient care. The variety makes the work fun to do. Together with a large group of colleagues, we get the job done and seek each other out during breaks and meetings. Despite the fact that you work independently, there is always someone available to help."
Within our ISO 15189 accredited Laboratory, approximately 200 dedicated employees (approx. 125 FTE) work in a modern and well-equipped lab. We perform a wide range of important activities, including extensive analyses and blood collections, for the benefit of hospitals, GPs, and healthcare institutions spread across the entire region.
