The role

Do you enjoy being on the road, do you work independently, and do you ensure that all administration is accurate to the last detail? Then we have a great challenge for you!

For our Food Laboratory in Oosterhout, we are looking for a Retail Food Employee. In this varied role, you will visit supermarkets daily to purchase products for laboratory research. You will be on the road a lot, work independently, and ensure that all data is recorded accurately. No two days are the same, because every route and product list is different.

What you'll do

You start your workday from home and then drive to the supermarkets on your route. Based on a pre-established sampling plan, you collect products that are investigated by our laboratory.

Your duties include:

  • Visiting supermarkets.
  • Purchasing products according to a fixed product list.
  • Performing and recording temperature measurements for specific products.
  • Processing data on a tablet and in Excel.
  • Ensuring correct, complete, and timely administration.
  • Maintaining contacts with supermarket employees and other involved parties.
  • Identifying deviations and looking for alternatives when products are unavailable.
  • Safely transporting the collected products to the designated location.
  • To perform your duties, you will be provided with a company car.

  • If you work Full-time then you may use the company car for commuting and can take it home with you.
  • If you work part-time, the company car will be ready for you at our location in Oosterhout and you will pick it up at the start of your workday.
  • This ensures you always have suitable transport to visit the supermarkets on your route.

It may happen that a product is not available in the planned supermarket. Sometimes specific products are only available at selected stores, causing you to drive longer distances. You will therefore be on the road for a large part of your workday.

You love working independently and enjoy being on the road a lot. You are accurate, administratively strong, and know how to easily establish contact with different people.

In addition, you possess:
