Laboratory Assistant

For our Health & Nutrition business line, we are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to support our analysts so that they can perform their analyses quickly, safely, and efficiently. This role is well-suited for professionals who already have several years of work experience and are ready for the next step in their career. We are looking for someone who contributes to stability and continuity within the team through experience and seniority.

In Spijkenisse, we work on the quality control of food products and raw materials. Our laboratory is modern, automated, and operates according to strict quality standards. As a Laboratory Assistant, you lay the foundation for reliable analyses; without your work, no one can proceed effectively.

What will you do?

No two days are the same! You support the laboratory in various ways, such as:

• Receiving and checking incoming goods
• Pre-processing samples for further analyses
• Performing incoming inspections
• Cleaning and preparing laboratory glassware
• Replenishing materials and work supplies
• Disposing of processed samples and lab waste according to procedures
• Collaborating on a clean, safe, and well-organized laboratory

And the best part! This is not an endpoint, but a starting point.
We will train you over 2–3 years to become a Junior Analyst, during which you will learn to perform more and more basic analyses independently.

You love taking initiative, organizing, and you function well in a team. Additionally:

• You live in the Spijkenisse area
• You are available full-time (40 hours)
• You have a VMBO-T diploma
• You are eager to learn, meticulous, and accurate
• You desire stability and a position in which you can grow
• You find physical work to be no problem
• You speak fluent Dutch
• You are looking for a long-term and stable job

You work between 07:00 and 18:00, depending on the schedule.
