  • You are an experienced, all-round NDT inspector ready for the next step, or already a more experienced (project) coordinator.
  • Certified in the methods RT, UT, MT, and PT. Film reading is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • A proactive and customer-oriented attitude.
  • Stress-resistant.

The role

SGS Nederland B.V. has organized its services into 5 business lines, of which SGS Industries & Environment deals with various technical inspections of industrial equipment. The NDT department inspects and monitors technical installations. From above-ground storage tanks to pipelines, from supervising the new construction of factories to inspections during a plant shutdown. Our NDT employees examine critical weld joints and determine wall thickness measurements in structures, plate, or pipe material.

Key clients of our activities can be found in petrochemistry, in the construction of offshore platforms and pipelines. Structural construction, piping construction, storage terminals, and general industry.

What you'll do

As a (project) coordinator for non-destructive testing at SGS, you are responsible for coordinating and managing projects at one of our clients. You work closely with our inspectors, experts, back-office, and front-office to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, with quality and safety as constant benchmarks. Projects can vary from a few weeks to several years.

In this position, you will also be involved in the following activities:

  • Planning and organizing projects from start to finish or serving a client on-site for a long(er) period according to the contract terms.
  • Communicating with clients to constantly meet and respond to their needs and requirements.
  • Leading and guiding a team of inspectors. The size of the team can vary from project to project.
  • Monitoring the progress of projects and taking steering measures if necessary in consultation with SGS management and/or central planning.
