Supervisory Board - AB Midden Nederland

AB Midden Nederland is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial member of the Supervisory Board, who will also serve as Chair of the Audit Committee. A supervisor who combines financial expertise with strategic insight, management experience, and a sense for the cooperative context.

The new commissioner joins during a phase of further growth and professionalization, in which quality of service, real estate and housing, and financial continuity are important themes.

The new commissioner:

• independently provides direction to the Audit Committee and supervises financial continuity, risk management, and reporting;
• assesses strategic investment and financing issues, including real estate and housing;
• acts as a strong and independent interlocutor for management, the accountant, and fellow commissioners;
• contributes to the further professionalization of the Supervisory Board;
• combines substantive sharpness with managerial flexibility, connection, and a sense for the cooperative character.

Our candidate is an experienced commissioner and a financially and economically strong manager or entrepreneur, who is accustomed to assessing complex organizations from a strategic perspective. They possess natural authority and combine substantive sharpness with accessibility, curiosity, and the ability to connect.

The candidate has a solid financial foundation, but is emphatically more than a financial specialist. They understand the connection between commercial growth, quality of service, investments, and financial continuity, and know how to assess these from a strategic and financial perspective.

Ideally, the candidate is still active in the business world and brings current experience from business services, real estate, industry, or another entrepreneurial environment.

Experience with flexible labor, international employees, and/or labor migration is valuable. Due to the strategic importance of housing, experience with real estate is also strongly desired.

The candidate understands the unique position of a cooperative and knows how to connect entrepreneurship, business-mindedness, and financial discipline with the broader interests of members, customers, and employees.

We are looking for a candidate who:

• possesses demonstrable experience as a member of a Supervisory Board and/or Board of Trustees;
• possesses the financial expertise and supervisory experience to take on the chairmanship of the Audit Committee;
• has extensive managerial, executive, and/or entrepreneurial experience;
• has experience with investment, financing, and risk issues, financial reporting, and internal control;
• has relevant experience with real estate, real estate operations, housing, and/or real estate financing;
• preferably has experience within business or labor-intensive services, industry, or a similar entrepreneurial environment, with an affinity for flexible labor and/or international employees;
• preferably has experience with a cooperative, family business, or other stakeholder-driven organization. Affinity with the agricultural sector is a plus.
