Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist

• University-level (WO) working and thinking level in a financial direction, preferably supplemented with an RA or RC title.
• You have gained at least 8 years of relevant work experience at one of the large accounting firms or in the finance department of a large, dynamic company.
• You get energy from coaching and developing colleagues and the team.
• You have sound knowledge of external reporting (including IFRS and sustainability), financial control, and processes.
• You have experience with process optimization and leveraging technical possibilities, including automation and AI.
• You have a helicopter view, are a strong sparring partner, and know how to explain complex topics understandably to various stakeholders.
• You have a proactive, connecting, and solution-oriented way of collaborating.

• A gross salary between €6,000 - €7,700 per month (based on 40 hours).
• An annual bonus of max 10% of your annual salary based on organizational objectives.
• 30 vacation days (with the possibility to buy or sell vacation days) and 8% holiday allowance.

You are a driving force within the team and take great responsibility for the quality of our reporting, financial control, and further professionalization.

As one of the most experienced professionals within your field, you are a substantive point of contact for complex issues. In doing so, you look beyond the numbers alone. You take ownership of the figures, fathom developments, and understand the story behind them. • You take ownership of reliable financial and non-financial information, fathom the developments behind the numbers, and help Jumbo make better choices based on them.
• You act as the financial conscience of Jumbo and advise management, the board, and colleagues on complex financial and reporting issues.
• You are an important interlocutor for the external auditor and coordinate complex issues surrounding the annual accounts and the audit.
• You translate developments in laws and regulations into the impact for Jumbo and convert these into practical solutions and actions.
• You take a leading role in strategic initiatives, cross-departmental projects, and change processes, overseeing the impact for Jumbo as a whole in the process.
• You identify risks, control issues, and opportunities for improvement, and take the initiative to further strengthen processes, systems, and controls.
• You leverage technological developments, including automation and AI, to design processes that are smarter, simpler, and more efficient.
• You guide and coach colleagues within the team and actively contribute to the further development of craftsmanship, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.

You work in the Accounting & Reporting team of Finance & Accounting. You report to Cees Martens, who challenges you, coaches you, and enjoys sparring with you on substantive matters.
