How do you ensure that our veterinarians in Belgium and the Netherlands can continue to provide the best care for pets?

AniCura strives to provide the best care for pets. Our motto is 'Shaping the future of veterinary care together'. The (Financial) Shared Service Center (FSSC) for the Belgium and Netherlands cluster serves to be an excellent business partner to support the clinics.

We have excellent financials so that we always know our financial position. The FSSC guarantees reliable financial reporting and ensures that we are 'in control'. As an accounts receivable intern, you will be of great value to the finance team in the Shared Service Center for AniCura Belgium and the Netherlands, and we will be of great value to you. During this internship, you will be responsible for accounts receivable management together with a financial controller.

What you'll do

  • Ensuring that old outstanding items are collected from the debtor.
  • Ensuring that the number of new old items is limited.
  • Participating in the selection of a collection agency that we will work with from now on.
  • Helping with the implementation of a new payment system.
  • You will be involved in the period closings and the various projects of the finance team, to allow your knowledge to grow even more.
  • Learning as much as possible about the ins and outs of a finance department.
  • Successfully completing your internship and playing with the office dogs.

Your internship

As an accounts receivable intern, you are part of a young, dynamic, and international finance team and work closely with the financial controllers. Together, we work towards the goal of being the driving force behind the efficiency gains and professionalization of AniCura.

As an accounts receivable intern, you will focus on the precise execution of various administrative tasks. In addition to collaborating within the finance team (consisting of 15 colleagues), you will have contact with our debtors and the clinics. At AniCura, you will find a 'fast paced' working environment and will receive plenty of room to propose and implement your own initiatives.

Your tasks and responsibilities include, among others:

Who are you as an accounts receivable intern and why are you the right person for this role?

  • You are in the final phase of a financial MBO education (financial direction is a must).
  • You possess good communication skills.
  • You are proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • You have some affinity with animals/animal healthcare.
  • You are available 32-40 hours per week.
  • You are flexible and can work well in a team, but also enjoy discovering things on your own every now and then.
  • Ability to communicate easily.

The internship is hybrid and can be carried out from our office in Amsterdam as well as from home. We are in the office at least 2 times per week, but of course, you are also welcome to come to the office every day.
