Indirect Tax Specialist

• A gross salary between €5,200 - €6,700 per month (based on 40 hours).
• An annual bonus of max 7.5% of your annual salary based on organizational objectives.

As an Indirect Tax Specialist - Technology & Processes, you will work on this daily by ensuring that our VAT, excise, and ecotax processes are optimally designed. You are responsible for the fiscal configuration of systems, monitor the quality of processes and reporting, and support IT projects from a fiscal perspective. In this way, you help Jumbo remain compliant, and together we ensure an efficient, future-proof organization.

Your main responsibilities:

• Developing a Tax Technology Roadmap for all tax types with your teammates, in collaboration with the Finance Transformation Team and Tech.
• Manage the fiscal configuration of systems for VAT, excise, and ecotax.
• Point of contact for the Tech department regarding Tax in systems.
• Support ongoing IT projects on behalf of Tax regarding process and system changes (for example, the implementation of SAP S4 HANA).
• Translate fiscal laws and regulations into workable solutions in systems.
• Monitor the quality of VAT, excise, and ecotax processes within Jumbo.
• Analyze data and identify fiscal risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide management information for fiscal decision-making and compliance.
• Work together with Finance and Tech on smart process improvements and system selection.
• Perform controls and strengthen the Tax Control Framework.
• Optimize fiscal processes using data, technology, and automation.

You are a curious and decisive Finance professional who gains energy from complex issues. You oversee the bigger picture, switch easily between details and main outlines, dare to provide direction, and know how to bring colleagues and stakeholders along with your insights and advice.

• University-level (WO) working and thinking level in a financial direction, preferably supplemented with an RA or RC title.
• You have gained at least 8 years of relevant work experience at one of the large accounting firms or in the finance department of a large, dynamic company.
• You get energy from coaching and developing colleagues and the team.
• You have sound knowledge of external reporting (including IFRS and sustainability), financial control, and processes.
• You have experience with process optimization and leveraging technical possibilities, including automation and AI.
• You have a helicopter view, are a strong sparring partner, and know how to explain complex topics understandably to various stakeholders.
• You have a proactive, connecting, and solution-oriented way of collaborating.

You report to the Lead Tax, who coaches you, helps you grow, and with whom you can spar on technical matters.
