Remuneration
The remuneration for this position falls within the frameworks of the Senior Executives' Remuneration Act (WNT). BumaStemra applies the applicable WNT standard in this regard. A further explanation of the employment benefits package will follow during the process.
Diversity and inclusion
At Quaestus and BumaStemra, we attach great value to diversity and inclusion. Quality and suitability for the task are paramount, with room for different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. At the same time, we find a diverse composition of board and leadership important. Given current team compositions, we explicitly encourage women to apply for this position.
BumaStemra is looking for an experienced, connecting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Chair of the Board of Directors who, within a collegial board, will provide direction to the next phase of the organization. The strategic course in broad terms is: further strengthening reliability, realizing the move towards a value-chain-oriented organization, and further developing international collaborations.
The CEO brings calm, direction, and cohesion. He or she is relationally strong, listens well, and connects diverse interests, but is also decisive and result-oriented. The CEO strengthens leadership and culture and ensures that implemented changes are actually realized and secured.
BumaStemra represents composers, lyricists, and music publishers and ensures fair remuneration for the use of their music via, among other things, radio, television, streaming platforms, venues, hospitality, and other forms of music use.
The organization consists of over 220 employees who work daily on its mission: realizing fair remuneration for rights holders and protecting and increasing the value of music.
Behind this social mission lies a complex, large-scale transaction-processing organization. The quality of data, systems, processes, and chain collaboration is directly decisive for the correct and timely collection and distribution of funds. BumaStemra therefore works purposefully on the further strengthening of its operational and technological foundation.
Digitalization, data, AI, and international standardization place increasingly higher demands on the reliability, speed, and transparency of rights processing and distribution.
At the same time, the playing field has become more international and competitive. Rights holders, publishers, regulators, and sister organizations expect high quality, transparency, and timely service.
Preferences: experience with member or interest organizations, cost or organizational restructuring, and specific knowledge of copyright, music rights, or relevant regulations.
