The power of your role
As a geotechnical advisor at Nepocon, you are the specialist who translates complex soil issues into smart and reliable solutions. You work on diverse projects: from designing foundations for buildings and infrastructure, assessing the stability of earth structures and designing earth-retaining structures, to predicting settlements and contributing to water safety. Thanks to your expertise, you map out geotechnical risks and make them manageable. You provide practical advice that truly makes a difference for our clients and for the living environment.

As a geotechnical advisor at Nepocon, you are the specialist in the field of underground issues within our (integral) projects. With your experience and expertise, you provide direction to the geotechnical design and ensure a solid foundation under our structures. You prepare geotechnical designs, critically assess them, supervise soil investigations, and advise colleagues and clients. You switch effortlessly between theory and practice and translate complex geotechnical issues into clear and executable solutions. Additionally, you play an active role in knowledge sharing within the team and contribute to the development of younger colleagues.

Your tasks are

• Outlining, supervising, and interpreting soil investigations (field and laboratory research).

• Designing effective foundation solutions (foundation on grade and/or piles) for diverse construction projects, from infrastructure to buildings.

• Designing geotechnical structures such as embankments, retaining structures, and excavation pits, for projects in infrastructure, (wet) hydraulic engineering, (industrial) construction, and water safety.

• Performing and testing geotechnical analyses and calculations regarding stability, settlements, sheet piles, foundations, excavation pits, and water safety.

• Coordinating and collaborating with colleagues from other disciplines within project teams and the organization.

• Advising on geotechnical issues, both internally to project teams and externally to clients and other stakeholders.

• Identifying and analyzing potential geotechnical risks (such as settlements, instability, and land subsidence) and developing risk mitigation strategies.

• Contributing to knowledge development and knowledge assurance within the organization.
