Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We're looking for someone with strong knowledge of Dutch soil conditions and the technical depth to lead geotechnical work on multidisciplinary projects. We also value:

• A master degree in geotechnical engineering.

• At least five years of experience working with Dutch soils.

• At least B2 proficiency in Dutch.

• In-depth understanding of foundations, deep excavations, earthworks and the scoping of ground investigations.

• Knowledge of relevant Eurocodes and the Dutch National Annex.

Lead geotechnical design for complex buildings and infrastructure.

Join our Amsterdam team and lead the geotechnical and foundation design of bridges, civil structures and buildings. You will coordinate geotechnical input within multidisciplinary design teams, undertake analyses and calculations, and translate the results into clear recommendations and reports. You will also advise clients, contribute to bids, and coach and mentor junior colleagues.

• 1. Lead the geotechnical scope and design within multidisciplinary projects.

• 1. Perform geotechnical analyses and calculations for foundations, deep excavations and earthworks.

• 1. Develop clear technical recommendations and reports based on analysis results.

• 1. Advise clients on geotechnical matters and contribute technical input to bids.

• 1. Coordinate geotechnical design across project teams while coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.

The role can be based in Amsterdam or Utrecht. Other locations in the Netherlands may be considered depending on the candidate profile. Hybrid working is available, typically with 2-3 days in the office.
